OCS is a design-build firm specializing in creative, functional outdoor construction and landscape services that encourage clients to interact with their natural enviroment. For four decades, our principals have provided residential and commercial clients with Middle Tennessee's highest end hardscape design-build services available.
Our Headquarters
Our design studio is in the heart of downtown Franklin in a home that is on the National Register of Historic Places. We welcome visitors with appoinments to visit our newly remodeled studio.
Ernie Reynolds
Outdoor Classic Structures founder and owner Ernie Reynolds has been a respected leader in the middle Tennessee landscape and hardscape industry since the late 1970's. His project resume' includes an impressive list of some of the area's most prestigious commercial sites including Vanderbilt University, Opryland, Cool Springs Galleria, Burton Hills and the Renaissance Center. Residentially, Reynolds' touch won the Home Builder Association's Best Landscape Award in four consecutive Parade of Homes. Additionally, his work was awarded the state-wide distinction as Tennessee?s Best Residential Landscape by the Tennessee Nurseryman?s Association.
Reynolds has a design and installation perspective unique in the industry. Additional to three plus decades of high-level field experience interacting with architects and owners, he has travelled Central and South America extensively, as well as throughout the States, making note of how those from various cultures and climates interact and recreate outdoors.
Personally, Reynolds is a Brentwood native. He is an alumnus of Furman University as well as Belmont University, from which he holds a Master?s. The versatile Reynolds is a former NCAA Division 1 and professional coach, college instructor and published author. In the community, Reynolds has served on the Board of Directors of the YMCA, CASA and Chamber of Commerce. He is an advanced scuba diver and backcountry hiker.
