Outdoor Classic Structures is a general contracting firm specializing in creative, functional outdoor construction and landscape services that encourage clients to interact with their natural environment.
For five decades, our principals have provided residential and commercial clients with Middle Tennessee’s highest end hardscape design-build services available. Our general contracting firm serves all of Nashville and surrounding Middle Tennessee, within 200 miles of our Franklin office.

Our Team
Nikki Schmidt
Owner & President
Owner and President, Nikki, has spent her entire career in the design industry. A Brentwood, Tennessee native and University of the South Sewanee graduate, she joined the Outdoor Classic Structures team in 2012. Her specialties in hardscape design and project management reflect her interior design experiences with an exclusive tile and stone company. Nikki prides herself in creating exterior living spaces that mirror her client’s interior design elements.
Nikki’s personal time is spent creating wonderful memories with her husband, energetic daughters, and extended family.
Ron Fries
Superintendent
A member of the OCS family for over a decade, Ron possesses over 40 years of construction skills and experience. Before joining the OCS team, Ron was a Master Electrician for 15 years as well as a facility services manager for the Mayo Clinic Hospital. He has completed continuing education seminars in specialties such as lighting, interlocking concrete paver and segmental retaining wall installations. He shares his personal time with his wife, children, and 7 grand children.
